Re: Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children
Am I only the person that didn't think FFVII was the greatest thing ever? I really miss FF with sprites. Those were way better than the new ones. They didn't need cheesey gimmicks like FFX-2. Everyone says FFVII was sooo sad when Aries died. I was sad when Bigs and Wedge died. FFVII was good in the fact it got more people into gaming. Personally, I wouldn't mind FFV-2: Galuf's Revenge.

Brunbb you are not alone. I was sad for a bit but then I realized she was just a whiney twat.
but yeah get Disgaea if you want some high res sprites and FFT on crack style gameplay.

Re: Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children
My friend has it. He brings it over like every day. It's fun, and a lot like FFT. While I like the graphics style, it's just not the old-school sprites.

Re: Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children
Every person who played the game had a different idea -naturally- of what the charactors would speak like. Because of this, so many people are gonna be upset when they hear the voice actors.
They had better use the Cosmos Canyon theme in that movie somewhere.

Re: Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children
I downloaded the trailer last night, (very crappy hand-held camera shot) and the mystery guy with the platinum hair is not sephiroth but comehow is connected to him (well of course) as I said before I believe it's a reincarnated Sephiroth, another Jenova Clone that worked like Sephiroth but was unable to make it to the reunion, (basically Sephiroth's little brother... or some unknown reason I can't think of...
Anyhow I found the trailer here...
EDIT: Website Host is gone... Sorry...
Like I said the footage is taken by a hand-held camera so sound is bad, and people are walking in front as they pass by... but it's still great to watch...

Re: Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children
Everywhere I go to check out info on this people are just bitching about this and that and it pisses me off. A video game company actually listened to fans and decided to make something for them. Granted they are profiting from it but still, it's fucking cool of them to do. So fuck all you nay sayers. YOU INVENT SOMETHING, LIKE INWARD SINGING! YOU FUCKING DICK! FUCK YOU! FUCK YOU KYLE! WHAT? WHATS FUNNY?!?

Re: Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children
I know what you mean AP, I've been searching myself and some of the posts or websites I've seen are just the stupidest nonsense ever... Which is another reason why I think about 3/4 of the human population should be put to death for not having enough common sense or is just that stupid... I'm estatic about the movie, (can it be called a movie anyhow? it's suppose to be something inbetween a game and a movie...) but I've run into nay sayers about cloud's hair, about how it's not this or that... I say shut the fuck up... Be happy that the part of the original team of FF7 is working on this, be happy we get to find out about what happened after Holy deflected meteor, and for the love of god Aerith will never return because she sacrificed herself to summon Holy, we'll only see her in Kingdom Hearts...
On a side note: Inward singing, now we can rock all the time instead of half because of breathing...

^^ the picture is alot better in that trailer and also you can here every bit of sound, ie the swords clashing ect, and theres also the japanese character voices thrown in there aswell
edit: hmm few questions - you think that guy with short hair is seph then? or some sort of son/clone/apprentice, because he looks to young to be sephiroth >.> also maybe thats sephiroth - the guy in the wheelchair in the white coat/robe thing?
Also you think that scene where sephiroth is walking back through the wall of fire is a flashback scene from when he did it in nibelheim in the ff vii game? because it sure looks like it lol >.> ( would be abit silly if he did it again somewhere lol)

Re: Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children
Well i found out more about the story if people want to know about it:
The Story.
Two years after the events of Final Fantasy VII, the human race faces a new threat. Star Scar Syndrome—an illness of some kind—is beginning to spread and is killing the population at a rapid rate.
Due to this, many souls return to the Lifestream of the Planet, and Cloud is left alone to live a lonely life.
Whether or not the main characters such as Tifa and Vincent are alive, we do not know. We do know that somehow Sephiroth will somehow make an appearance, as will a Mystery Man, who looks a lot like a Sephiroth with spikey platinum hair. Is he related to Sephiroth? It appears so, but we do not know exactly how.
.... anyway thats it, also been thinking that maybe if the guy in the wheelchair in white is not seph then maybe it maybe hojo or maybe even rufus? ino he got nailed by weapon in the game but maybe the weapon just crippled him? since that white coat does seem to be lab coat or rufus's coat something. imo its along shot but it could be....(they both did wear white :P )
edit: oooo sorry AP started writing my post before u posted urs >.> hehe so u think that maybe thats hojo 2? hehe just wish you could see there hair... also i would love to see vincent in the film would make my day - even tho its more than likely he wont be *sigh*

I thought that myself... which would make sense with the Mystery Sephiroth being a clone... I really do believe that it's a clone that worked but was keep ultra top secret by the mad scientist Hojo, either that or he was kept in Prof. Gast's other unknown Lab (He had quite a bunch) and was stored in a cryotube or something the like...
As for the Nibel incident... I think it's a flashback showing that there is somekind of deep connection between the two... Really I just can't wait... I wanna to see Tifa in upcoming screens, and find out more about this disease that's running amuck in the FF7 world...
EDIT: I haven't downloaded Cloud's link above but here's another site from X-Play so I'm not sure of the difference between the two...

Re: Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children
I was thinking Hojo or Rufus. I just one at least one good shot of the Turks too... It has to have Red XIII in it. Ok. I just watched the video again and right when you first see the guy in the wheelchair, whom from know on will be known as 'Wheels', if you look at the right most part of the screen you can see a shinra logo. So im lead to believe it is one of the two.

Re: Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children
Yes we most definately need to see Reno and the gang... *plays Turks Theme* Also seeing Red XIII would be cool, but it would have to be in Cosmo Canyon, and on the way by you get to see a destroyed Ultima Weapon... I'm asking for too much right there... Sorry, it's just great to see something for FF7 coming out... SO much to ask and so much to see...

Re: Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children
Call me sappy, but...I'm hoping for a love story - FF7 had one and it was so frustrating that there was no kind of resolution re. Tifa. Plus, we need a bosomy heroine

Re: Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children
I think clouds haor looks good. i mean think about it, if it looked as massively spikey as it did in the game the character wouldn't realistic enough. I am also very glad to see that Sephiroth is in the film.
I would very much like to see the other characters in it. I know that red XIII is definitely alive because at the end of the game it shows him and his cubs looking over midgar so many years later (much longer than a human lifespan). whether he's in the film or not I do not know though.

Re: Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children
I want to desperately see Tifa, what can I say... I like her... she had big boobies... *giggles like a little boy starting to like girls*
I'm just so envious right now, that people at Square get to work on this and keep all the info to themselves...
*Thinks about Tifa again*
OOOOOHHHHH!!! AAAHHHHHHHHH!!!! *SPLAT*

Re: Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children
I also read a interview with the guy who's in charge of the project and the last thing he said kinda made me feel that this maybe a prelude to FF7-2. It's on gamespot if you wanna find it. I'm too lazy to do it so.
